No. 003 (2025): Legal Frameworks for Sustainable Development: International Standards, National Adaptation, and Cross-Border Cooperation
The editorial board invites legal scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and interdisciplinary researchers to contribute manuscripts examining how contemporary legal systems support the global transition toward sustainable development. As countries face accelerating environmental challenges, rapid technological change, and growing societal expectations, the law plays a critical role in shaping resilient, responsible, and future-oriented models of economic and social governance.
This issue seeks to explore how international legal standards, national regulatory frameworks, and mechanisms of cross-border cooperation enable or limit the implementation of sustainable development principles across key sectors, including energy, environmental protection, construction, digital transformation, and social policy.
We particularly welcome comparative and interdisciplinary contributions that bridge international law, environmental law, energy law, corporate and commercial law, human rights, administrative regulation, and legal aspects of technological innovation.
Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
- international legal instruments supporting sustainable development (treaties, conventions, soft law)
- national adaptation of global sustainability standards in the EU, Central Asia, and CIS countries
- legal foundations of ESG regulation, compliance, and responsible business conduct
- regulatory frameworks for renewable energy, decarbonization, and green transition
- energy efficiency law and sustainable construction standards
- legal mechanisms of the circular economy and waste management
- human rights and protection of vulnerable groups in sustainable development contexts
- transboundary environmental governance and dispute-resolution mechanisms
- legal regulation of technological innovation, AI, and digital infrastructures for sustainability
- cross-border environmental and energy cooperation: challenges, risks, and opportunities
- corporate governance, liability, and due diligence standards in sustainability-driven markets
Types of submissions invited:
- original legal research (doctrinal, empirical, comparative, mixed methods)
- analytical and policy-oriented studies examining regulatory models and institutional practices
- sectoral and applied case studies from energy, environmental management, construction, and digital technology

The editorial team seeks contributions that offer novel legal perspectives, rigorous analysis, and practical recommendations supporting effective, equitable, and internationally coordinated implementation of sustainable development principles.
