The editorial board invites scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to contribute research examining how societies invest in human capital and advance social development in the face of contemporary economic, demographic, and technological challenges. As inequality, demographic shifts, and pressures on social systems reshape communities worldwide, questions of well-being, inclusion, and quality of life become central to sustainable and equitable development. This issue aims to explore how social policies, institutions, and practices can strengthen human potential while ensuring fairness and resilience.

We particularly welcome interdisciplinary contributions that bridge sociology, social policy, public health, economics, demography, gender studies, and the humanities.

Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:

  • social policy, welfare systems, and mechanisms of social protection
  • health, society, and access to healthcare services
  • poverty, inequality, and strategies for inclusive development
  • gender, inclusion, and the empowerment of vulnerable groups
  • demographic change, migration, and population dynamics
  • labor markets, employment, and the future of work
  • education, professional development, and human capital formation
  • community well-being, social cohesion, and quality of life
  • the role of digitalization in advancing social development
  • sustainable approaches to social resilience and human security

Types of submissions invited:

  • original research (quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods)
  • analytical and comparative studies of social policy and institutional practices
  • thematic and applied case studies
  • systematic and critical literature reviews

The editorial team seeks contributions offering new perspectives, empirical evidence, and practical solutions that support inclusive, equitable, and forward-looking models of social development.

Articles will be published on a rolling basis following successful peer review. Manuscripts should be submitted to welcome@delapress.com
